Mel invited 35 of her closest girlfriends over for her baby shower - quite a large PARTY for someone who generally prefers smaller groups for socializing.
Appropriately, the men cowered in the hallway, terrified of all the estrogen in the room. Waz, Shane, and Des headed out for some male bonding time with little guy Curtis.
One of Mel's best friends Les is also preggo (in the flower dress on the right). It will be so fun for them to raise their kids together.
A bunch of work girls came along for the shower including Alex, Dena, Hanya, Emily, Maria, Cara, and me!
Mingling and sorting through the many games Mel's sister Bec orchestrated throughout the day. I won a game for coming up with the most original baby names.
There were 5-6 pregnant women and about an equal number of babies - quite a full house! There's Em in the purple in front - she's another preggo one from the office, due in May.
And this is where my camera died. Boo! I foolishly left in laying within child's reach, the camera dropped, and is no longer working. So... shux, I had to go shopping. A girl's gotta be ready to capture all the important moments. Future pics from future postings will come from my new camera!
