Lake Argyle

We stopped briefly in Kununarra to refuel and restock.

Not far from Kununarra, we stopped at Lake Argyle and Ord River Dam, the largest man-made lake in Australia.

me at Lake Argyle

A different view of Lake Argyle, which has a surface area of 1,000 sq km.

Here's the outfall from Ord River Dam. Beautiful. We stopped here for a quick pitt stop and were greeted by green frogs in the toilets.

And with that we said goodbye to Western Australia...

... and hello to the Northern Territory, adjacent states on the north side of Australia.

We spotted our first salty (saltwater crocodile) from the bridge over the Victoria River. It's moving out of the water onto the sand, just behind the log.

We stopped at Timber Creek in Gregory National Park, an Aboriginal Community.

We stayed the night at Victoria River Roadhouse Crossing, where we spotted lots of wallabies and cockatoos. We were reminded of the danger of toads hopping around and of dingos stealing our shoes at night.

The hay bails at Victoria River Crossing.

Another beautiful sunset at Victoria River Crossing.

Our last night of this tour.
