The Melbourne URS office is located adjacent to the Crown Casino, along the Yarra River. Each night, starting at dusk, great fire balls explode from torches lining the casino's riverfront. The fire show occurs each hour on the hour for a couple minutes, with smaller fire balls growing into massive, loud, balloons of fire that radiate heat for quite a distance.
On my walk home, I also enjoy the African stylings of this drum and dance shop located on Grey St between my tram stop and my flat. This is a happening place! There are ALWAYS 15-20 people drumming away in this crazy place. Phill and I can't figure out who does this or why, but it must be a popular pastime in our eclectic neighborhood.
