Pre-arranged airport transfers were one of the best things we did. We were always greeted with a sign with our names on it upon arrival at the next foreign city to transport us to our hotel. This bus was all about luxury.

On with the tour! We moved onto Hong Kong Wednesday and were greeted with the swankiest luxury limousine bus to drive us into the city. Our 45 minute commute was filled with non-stop skyscrapers and a drive over the longest suspension bridge in the world. We stayed at the Novotel on the Kowloon Peninsula, located on Nathan Rd among the "Golden Mile" of shops. We made our standard ATM and water run during which it started pouring and didn't really stop during our short stint in Hong Kong. We didn't let it stop us.
We headed down to watch the Symphony of Lights at Avenue of Stars, a 15-minute light show where the city skyline flashes various colored lights and designs to music. Then we walked the shops along Temple Street Market, a complete let-down after the shopping wonderland in Beijing. We dined in the street at Aberdeen Seafood Restaurant on plastic stools. We loved all the lit up signs on the street.
